Swiss Hockey is participating in the Twinning project organized by the European Hockey Federation (EHF) and the Royal Netherlands Hockey Federation (KNHB). We are very pleased to have won HC Oranje-Rood as our partner for this project.
HC Oranje-Rood is one of the leading hockey clubs in the Netherlands and as a professional club has expertise in many different areas of hockey (including development, refereeing, coaching, etc.). With its many years of international experience, the club can thus use its knowledge to promote the development of Swiss Hockey.
The aim is to establish a long-term cooperation during the 20 months of close collaboration. Information, programmes and experiences are exchanged.
We will mainly focus on 4 topics:
# How to build a club and volunteer culture
# Development of referees, coaches and officials
# Developing a “youth hockey plan”
# Developing a gender balance
During this time we would like to give all clubs and their players the opportunity to participate in this exchange program. Therefore we will regularly inform about our progress and ideas.
Due to the current Corona Virus situation, the first meeting of both sides unfortunately had to be postponed, but there is already a lively contact and exchange via video conferences. Oranje-Rood is very committed and wants to make this partnership a mutual success.
