# Kinderlandhockey concept

The Swiss Hockey-Kids Lena, Max and Lars are also in use at the Kinderlandhockey developed by Prof. Andreas Gasser (specialization: Movement promotion and sports didactics in childhood).

Andy, why does it need a concept for kids' field hockey?

"Encouraging children in their development is one of the best tasks for trainers. Children have an incredible urge to move, are open to new things and play for the sheer joy of it. In addition, they are extremely capable of learning, so that success can be seen within a very short time. But training children is also demanding. Children demand trainers, expect full attention and concentration and give direct and immediate feedback. The present concept is intended to provide the coaches of Swiss Hockey affiliated clubs with the basics to encourage and challenge children. In this way we are laying the foundation for later success in competitive and popular sports."
Prof. Andreas Gasser

Kinderlandhockey concept

Swiss Hockey is striving to attract more children to the sport of country hockey. The larger and better the quality of the base can be expanded, the more the children can benefit individually, be it for grassroots or competitive sports.
