After eight years as team manager of the Swiss women’s national team, Constance van Asselt played her last tournament this summer. Quitting at the peak – that’s what you call it. And it could hardly have ended more beautifully: with a ticket for the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament in the bag.

We would like to thank Constance from the bottom of our hearts for her enormous commitment over the past few years – for Swiss Hockey as a whole, and especially for the women’s national team. Summer after summer, almost every winter, she has sacrificed her own vacation days to travel with the national team. This shows not only a passion for the sport, but also a deep love for her job.

The role of team manager means constant organization, but also being there for the players – as a contact person, a calming influence and sometimes a shoulder to lean on. Constance has done all of this with impressive dedication and passion over many years.

An official farewell party will certainly follow – but we are already saying thank you: Thank you, Constance, for everything you have done for the women’s national team and for Swiss Hockey!
