The Regio Cup 2026 is just around the corner and brings together the best U14 playersSwitzerland in a regional comparison
Regio Cup 2026

After last year’s successful staging in Wettingen, the Regio Cup 2026 will be held on the Easter weekend 04./05. April 2026 at Stade Lausanne. The field hockey community can look forward to an intense and emotional tournament weekend.
What is the Regio Cup?
The Regio Cup is the official tournament for Swiss Hockey’s U14 regional teams and thus the national performance comparison for this age category. The regional teams are made up of the most talented players in their age category who have particularly stood out in their clubs and regions. The tournament is a central element of the Swiss Hockey Pathway and gives the players a first taste of higher tournaments such as international tournaments or European championships.
The tournament serves as a:
- Implement the training principles of the Swiss Hockey Pathway
- Promote team spirit and regional identity
- Compare the strongest U14 talents from all regions
- gain competitive experience at national level
For many athletes, the Regio Cup is an important developmental step in their national and international field hockey career.
Promotion off the pitch too
In addition to the matches of the regional teams, Swiss Hockey is also sending out a strong signal in the training of referees: a referee course for young talents is to take place parallel to the tournament. The aim is not only to invest in the next generation of players, but also to promote promising talent on the whistle. Refereeing is a central component for the quality, fairness and further development of our sport.
The Regio Cup 2026 therefore not only stands for exciting matches, but also for the sustainable promotion of young talent – on and off the pitch. Further information on the date, match schedule and supporting program of the Regio Cup will follow shortly on swisshockey.org and Instagram.
