Switzerland vs. Italy in Lucerne – key warm-up matches ahead of the European Championship qualifiers

At the end of June, the Swiss men’s national team faces a crucial step on the road to European Championship qualification. In Lucerne, the team will face Italy in two official FIH international matches—an ideal opportunity to prepare for the challenges of the summer. The games offer spectators the chance to experience top-level international hockey up close.

Both matches will take place at the Utenberg facility in Lucerne:

  • Saturday, June 27, 2026, 11:30 a.m.: Switzerland – Italy
  • Sunday, June 28, 2026, 11:30 a.m.: Switzerland – Italy

In addition to the senior national team, the U21 men’s national team will also be in Lucerne and will hold joint training sessions over the weekend. This means the weekend will feature not only international matches but also exciting insights into Swiss Hockey’s youth development program.
