The sightings are coming up again. Here you can find the latest information
At Swiss Hockey, preparations for the new season are already in full swing. At the same time, we are working intensively on the further development of our strategy in competitive sport for the coming years. We are currently working on a long-term strategy for the period 2026-2032.
A key component of this strategic development is a clearly structured and transparent pathway for our junior teams. The aim is to enable all players to develop as equally and sustainably as possible in competitive sport. Here, too, the Swiss Hockey Pathway will begin with a selection
The selection of players for the upcoming 2026/2027 season will take place centrally during Swiss Hockey’s official selection days. As before, the registration process is handled by the clubs: Swiss Hockey invites them to register their talents. The clubs assess whether their talents deserve an invitation based on their quality and mentality. It is equally important to us that they set an example within their club.
The following applies to all players: anyone who wants to be part of a national team must take part in the selection dates listed below. This also applies to players who are already part of a squad. The evaluation is carried out by the respective coaching teams and is based on a holistic assessment (technical, tactical, athletic and mental).
National players are: willing to learn, reflective, coachable and responsible for their own personal development. Continuous development, commitment in training and behavior in the team environment are key criteria over the course of the season.
