Ladies kick-off weekend: Start of the journey to the BEM

The Swiss women’s hockey team is taking the first step towards the B European Championships this summer with the kick-off weekend in Lucerne. From February 28 to March 1, the selected players will get the chance to prove themselves under the guidance of new national coach Jorge Nolte. This intensive training weekend marks the start of a challenging and promising road to the European Championships.

A New Era under Jorge Nolte

The appointment of Jorge Nolte as the new national coach marks the start of a new chapter for the Swiss women’s hockey team. Nolte, known for his energetic approach and strong focus on the mental aspects of the game, will be supported by an experienced coaching team. Linda Haussener will take on the role of assistant coach, while Bruno Sousa will play a crucial role in tactical analysis as video operator. Constance van Asselt will provide organizational support for the team as team manager.

Selection and perspectives

A large group of players have been invited to take part in the kick-off weekend. For two days, they will train intensively and put their skills to the test. This weekend offers not only a first meeting with the new coaching staff, but also the chance to play a part in the battle for a place in the final squad for the European B Championship.
